Calvin Jones

Calvin Jones has lived in Pittsburg since 1978 and has an abiding love for this community. He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and came to Southeast Kansas to attend college.  He graduated from Coffeyville Community College before transferring to Pittsburg State University. He was on the PSU basketball team where he held the rebounding and field goal assists records for two years.

Calvin worked at Mt. Carmel/ Via Christi hospital as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist for 25 years. He is the founder and owner of Calvin's Catering and continued to grow that business after retiring from Via Christi. He has catered numerous events in and around the Pittsburg Kansas area for many years, including Colonial Fox events, and has won The Morning Sun Readers’ Choice for the best caterer numerous times.

In addition to his professional life, Calvin has served Southeast Kansas for many years, as a community volunteer and he is looking forward to bringing this passion to the Colonial Fox board.
